Peachtree updates - the most recent updates of Peachtree accounting software series can be found here. Make sure you have downloaded and applied the most up-to-date release to your Peachtree software.

Important: Make sure you always use the same Peachtree version to open companies. Otherwise, it may result in "cannot open company" error.
Peachtree installation & database errors - many Peachtree errors are caused by improper software installation. Please read the Peachtree installation guide for correct setup instructions.
Frequent computer crashes and network instability may result in Peachtree data corruption. "I/O error reading files" and "module errors" are some common Peachtree data corruption errors, which can be easily avoided if certain precautions are taken.
Windows 95/98/ME versions are unstable and so are NOT RECOMMENDED for running Peachtree accounting software.

Peachtree upgrade & data migration - Peachtree has built-in functions for easy upgrade and data migration. Once upgraded or migrated, the Peachtree company database format will be changed also. In other words, the new company version will not be able to be opened by the old version accounting software. Upgrade to a lower series, for example from Premium to Complete, is not possible.
